What a fun game! I am so glad I found it. I'm obsessed with the little world inside this game and its characters. The colour palette is marvelous and backing music track melds so nicely with gameplay and theme. I cant wait for free time to play more. Wonderful work 💟

Really nice cohesive visual style and sprites, challenging but well-balanced and fun to play! I got 74 deaths, looks pretty on-par based on other comments.

I just found this game tonite and i'm totally mesmerized by it. I love the pace and it has a nice eerie design feel between the colours, character movement, sound effects, and music too. It's a very cohesive game. I've notice the ladders are nicely programmed too -- especially the jump on and jump off function which is not always the best in this style of game. I can't wait to keep playing but just wanted to leave a quick review to say how much I am enjoying it already!

its such a beautiful game. to be able to see the wool felt creation of ami on the home screen makes for a lovely connection to your player and her resemblance in the game is quite true. the art across the game is very thoughtful and has excellent detail. i really like the robots movement, its aptly sinister. i was struck most by how well the ambient music fit the game's theme and feel. it sounded both original and true to the era as well. all of the game's sound is very nice. i've found the difficulty solid, exactly what i'd hope for in terms of challenge and ability to progress thru levels, though i've not taken on the teleport level just yet. i like the option of finding the idle spots on each level and then just taking in your surroundings a bit. i love when games give the player the ability to slow or break from the frenetic pace and look around a bit -- its sort of rare i find the ability to do this and i love it. really just a super fun game to play and gorgeous to look at and listen to. thank you for making it!

Not only the girl, but even the little spider was adorable—such a lovely piece of work!
The wool felt art on this page and at the end of the game was especially wonderful, and I could really feel the love poured into it.
While writing this, I learned about Amiya Ch. for the first time and realized that this game is a fan creation based on her.
The soft “prrr” sound from the cat on the title screen was really pleasant to hear. ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

i loved atmosphere and sound effect, but teleport stage 9 is really horrendously difficult, i don't even have a clue how to make it but somehow i made it to secret room, in secret room, there's laser and 1 bots it gives extra score

Beautiful artwork, and the gameplay mechanics really set that hostile, daunting labyrinth vibe. The teleporter levels almost broke me until I started taking it slow. Very neat game.

I was not expecting a lot of the twists in here, nice high quality fangame.

Feels fresh, even if it looks and feels familiar to a bygone era. The difficulty is high but it's not unfair, it's a reasonable challenge and scratches the right itch throughout the half hour or so.

Makes me want to play it over again!!

Hey there! My name is Ichit. I've done some QA for games like The Sims and Gears of War!

I played the game for an hour and wrote up a small report with some feedback.

Feedback:

- Art style is very alluring. I like the retro aesthetic alot. It reminds me something like shovel knight and old legend of zelda games!

- Enemy is very difficult and feels intelligent. Reminds me a bit like pacman's ghosts.

- Not sure the benefit of collecting gold / treasure in this game

- Not sure what the bubble pick up did initially, then I found out I could double jump! haha.

- This game is difficult, but pretty fun to play! Note I am a bit more of a casual gamer I would say, but i'd say it teeters on hard, but just hard enough to feel possible. Right when I was about to give up on some levels.. I somehow made it haha :)

- I like the ending, it's very cute. I thought I screwed it up till I got some help!

- I beat the game with 101 deaths and 03461 points!

- The teleporter levels are by far the most difficult for me. I think the issue is sometimes when frantic. I lose track of where I am, then I get killed by the robot.

- I'd say the amount of content is perfect. It didn't overstay it's welcome. I was engaged throughout the whole game. Albeit sometimes a bit aggravated haha :)


Bugs:

- (Possible bug) On one of the levels with teleporters, if you take the green one on the bottom right to the top right, then take it again and stick to the right, you can stick inside the teleporter which prevents the robot from hitting you because they will teleport.

- Minor bug, when you die and hold the movement key, the player sprite is animating, but not moving.


Suggestions:

- When clicking on settings on the title screen. Might be good to add a back button or info to let player know ESC can bring them back.

- Let player know that they have the ability to double jump

- The primary chasing enemy could be a bit slower for more casual players

- Would be nice to have an indicator to let player know how many more friends she needs to collect (especially in the darker levels)

- I'd have enjoyed if there were more light levels before you got into the darker areas.

- Would have loved to have seen more traps. My favorite trap used is the one where the spike flies towards you and you gotta jump quickly.

Finished with 11 cakes and 76 deaths. What a fun game! I'll admit I've no idea what a Bucko might be or who that vtuber (I presume) is and just played this based on the description. There's a really good set of mechanics and some very fun dosformer level design. The way powerups work is cool as well, spent a while dying in a certain level but always managing to get back my double jump the next run... excellent tension. Art and sound design is super good as well.

I guess the one thing I'd say is some levels seemed a little too difficult to process every part of while playing? the one with 3 yellow teleporters, a chasing robot and a a bouncey robot felt like my brain was on fire... maybe I'm just an inadequate bucko gamer.

congrats on beating it! the teleporter level is pretty awful, I considered revamping it but I also wanted to keep it a bit difficult as there's not a ton more levels after that.. you can freely skip around with the level select anyway so hopefully it isn't too bad
